Happy Friday, Friends 🌊☀️

I don't know about you, but this week absolutely flew by.

As you read this, I'm packing up and getting ready to spend the next two weeks at the ocean with my family. I can already picture that first walk onto the beach—the warm sand beneath my feet, the rhythm of the waves, the salty air, and the reminder that sometimes the greatest gift we can give ourselves is simply to be present.

I'm looking forward to unplugging a bit. To putting technology aside. To slowing down enough to notice the sunrise, collect seashells, read a few pages of a good book, and let the ocean do what it always does so well: wash away everything I no longer need to carry.

This week has also been filled with practice—not just on my yoga mat, but within myself. I've been leaning into my Hatha practice, remembering that true strength isn't always measured by what our bodies can do, but by how steady we become on the inside.

One of the highlights of my week came as a complete surprise.

For the Summer Solstice, I was invited to offer a sound bath for my friend Rachel's networking group at the lighthouse in Havre de Grace. As everyone settled into savasana, I played my beloved Crystal Tones singing bowls for about ten minutes.

Something shifted.

There was no overthinking. No wondering if I was doing it "right." My hands simply knew where to go. The bowls seemed to guide me as much as I was guiding them. It felt natural. Effortless. Like I had finally stepped into something my heart has been quietly preparing me for all along.

Those moments remind me that the things we are meant to do often don't arrive with force—they arrive with ease.

Needless to say... I'm completely obsessed with my bowls. I've even been trying to figure out how to fit them into the car for vacation, but I don't think they're going to make the trip this time.

Instead, I'll be bringing beads, string, and a little creativity. I'll be spending some quiet moments making malas and bracelets by the ocean, which feels like the perfect companion to salty air and slow mornings. If you'd like me to create one for you, I'd love to hear from you.

As we welcome summer, I hope you find a little space to slow down.

Take a deep breath.

Feel the warmth of the sun.

Let your shoulders soften.

Ground your feet wherever you are.

There is nowhere else you need to be.

Wishing you a beautiful Summer Solstice, a joyful weekend, and moments that remind you how good it feels to simply be present.

Until next week,

With love and blue skies,

Sophia 💙

Beyond every passing cloud, there is always blue sky.
